Appointments

Tel: 028 8556 8212 or book online.

calendarThe appointment system exists both for your convenience and to aid the doctor and the nurse. We will endeavour to oblige patients who require an urgent appointment if they contact the surgery as early as possible in the day.

Please do not blame the receptionist if the doctor is running late for your appointment, or if she is unable to offer you just exactly what you want. Remember that she is trying to do a difficult and demanding job and is often working under pressure. We would therefore ask you to be a PATIENT PATIENT.

For routine, non-urgent appointments please try to give as much notice as possible.

Patients have a right to express a preference in which doctor they see when booking an appointment in advance, and every endeavour will be made to meet this request although this is not always possible. However in the event of an emergency appointment it will be the available doctor who will see the patient.

Telephone advice

Tel: 028 8556 8212

Sometimes you may want advice on a health problem or medication, and simply wish to talk to the doctor. If you feel that this is the case, the best time to phone is after morning surgery. In an emergency the doctor or nurse’s clinical work can be interrupted so that the receptionist can put you through immediately.

Chaperones

All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required.  This chaperone may be a family member or friend. On occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff. Your healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations in accordance with our chaperone policy.

If you would like to see a copy of our Chaperone Policy or have any questions or comments regarding this please contact the practice manager.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Click here to read our "Did Not Attend" policy.
